Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t there. For example, you can look outside on a moonless night when it’s dark as pitch black, and you won’t be able to see the trees outside. But it doesn’t mean the trees are gone. It simply means you can’t see them. You need to turn on the light.
At times we may feel concerned that we can’t “see” God’s promises coming to pass in our lives. But that doesn’t mean His Word is of no effect. We just can’t see it because we’ve allowed the view of darkness to distort the truth. When we meditate on God’s promises the light of God’s love will pierce through the darkness bringing truth and light into your situation.
Jesus asks many times the question, “Why are you worried.” Don’t you remember when I feed the five thousand with five loaves, and the baskets of food that were left over?
Can you recall God providing and helping you?
Refuse the voice of reason, it’s a dangerous trap to you. The voice of reason will always point you to look at things from a human perspective prompting you to say what you see. But the kingdom of God works just the opposite. God’s word calls us to call those things be not as though the were. In other words God asks us to recognize that the trees are still present even in the darkness.
When Jesus spoke, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Whatever you are facing today choose NOT to fear. Ask the holy spirit to help paint of picture of the promise’s of God coming to pass in your life. As you turn to God for strength courage will overwhelm your fear.
God said He’ll never leave or forsake you! He said He’s meet all your needs! He said He’s the God that health thee! He said He would make your enemies to be at peace with you! He said all your sins have been forgiven! He said He’ll never be angry with you again! He said He’s got a good plan for you NOT for evil but for good!
Look to the Word of God and find a promise for your situation and refuse to allow the appearance of darkness to change what you’ve seen in the light. God has promised in Proverbs 12:28 that in the way of the righteous (that’s you) is life and in your pathway there is no death.
You are precious to God. He is near you now and is just waiting for you to turn and ask for His help.
Isaiah 40:28-31 The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of all the earth. He never grows faint or weary. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Those who look and wait on the Lord will find new strength.
The Lord has recused me, healed my wounds, restored my joy, and given me hope for a great future. He will do the same for you. Reach out and take His hand and trust.
United in Love,
Amy
