“HE gives power to the faint; and TO THEM that have no might HE increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD [minister to, wait upon, turn to, focus on, pray to, believe in] shall RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; THEY SHALL RUN, and not be weary [get tired] ; and THEY SHALL WALK, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31) If you can RUN and not get tired and walk and not faint, isn’t that healing???
Sometimes healing come in an instant like the miracle at the Beautiful Gate. When healing is instantaneous that is what the Bible reveals to be a miracle, a sign, a wonder. But more often healing comes by degrees. Many people lose their faith because they see no instant change. Surprising to say, but people forget miracles quicker than a healing because a miracle-wonder happens in a flash, and soon we are on to other things or even on into doubt and then we can lose the miracle easily. But a healing comes slowly and we spend so much time cheering God on, by our faith, that we don’t easily forget, and our faith can grow stronger in the process and stay stronger.
Through the old testament we can see how the Lord preformed miracle after miracle for the people but as soon as the enjoyment of the miracle pasted their hearts turned against the Lord complaining and demanding more. The heart of God beacons the people in Numbers 14:11. The Lord says, “How long will these people reject me? Will they never believe me, even after all the miraculous signs I have done among them?”
God desires for healing to take place in the heart of man. Healing in the area of trusting in Him, putting Him first, and desiring His ways. God’s heart is for man to love Him, not for what He will do for us but simply because He is good and worthy. A heart that trust Him to know that His ways are better and that His plan and purpose for us is for good and not evil. He shares with us that if we seek first the kingdom that all the other things Will be added to us.
As I think about the precious blood of Jesus this morning I’m reminded of what His blood paid for me. Through the Love and sacrifice I can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy, healing, answers, peace, joy, deliverance from fear, forgiveness, and eternal life. Oh how grateful I am for that precious blood of Jesus and the love of the Father for sending his son for me. Zechariah 9:11-12 say’s, Because of the covenant He made with us sealed with the blood. I’m now free from death. And He promises to repay us double for our previous suffering (trouble).
In fact healing is already granted and is already ours. We can therefore thank God for healing in advance. We know that it is His will to heal. We don’t have to pray “thy will be done,” on whether or not God wills healing, BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD CLEARLY REVEALS GOD’S WILL THROUGH JESUS TO HEAL ALL WHO ARE OPPRESSED BY THE DEVIL. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and HEALING ALL that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)
In Luke 5 12:13, we can see the Lord wants us to be healed.
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
The point is that healing is God’s ultimate will for believers, no matter what. We never have to beg for healing. We simply ask, thank and expect.
“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear HIM, upon them that hope in HIS mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; HE is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in HIM, because we have trusted in HIS holy Name. Let your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in THEE.” [Psalms 33:18-22]
Dear friends, if you are waiting on the Lord today for healing in your body, emotions or relationships make a decision today to set your “Why’ or “When” a side and wait patiently for the Lord to act.
Lay down the “WHY?” and ask God “HOW?”. “HOW?” can this be used to help me be CONFORMED to the image of Christ. Does that mean it is wrong to ask “why?” certainly not, for even the most perfect Man on the face of the earth asked “why?” “My God, My God WHY have you forsaken Me.” THE LORD JESUS cried while upon the Cross. But there comes a time when the “Why” must be CRUCIFIED and replaced with the emphasis of thought and heart on the “HOW?”
How do you want to work this thing for my good? Pray “Lord help me see the treasure in this.”
God is made strong when we are weak. He desires us to believe and receive his love. I pray you surrender and release the situation in the hands of God.
Prayer: I will trust in, rely on, and be confident in you O Lord; I will say you are my God. My times are in your hands.
I love you all. God is love and love never fails!
